Canyon de Chelley and Petrified Forest

Our last trip until after the New Year was to see more ruins and petrified trees. I have officially been rocked, petrified, painted, canyoned, deserted, and driven out.

Canyon de Chelly is on the Navajo Nation Reservation and they still live all around the ruins performing their normal daily lives. Quite a view from some of their places.

Arches National Park and Four Corners National Monument

Many different Arches at Arches National Park. It was -2 degrees in Moab this morning and during our hikes about 7 degrees. I'm all rocked out... how about you?

Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks

I am currently sitting in Moab, UT anticipating our trip to Arches National Park. We visited both Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks today, and decided to drive through Utah so we could wake up and go straight to the park. Once again, the views were amazing.

Antelope Canyon

We went to Antelope Canyon on the Navajo Indian Reservation the same day as Grand Canyon and Horseshoe Bend - Dec. 26th. It was quite a spectacular experience. Here are a few of the shots that MAY capture the essence of this unique formation.
Note: They had to regulate the canyon by tours due to many people being killed by flash floods that sweep through the canyon. People seem to think they are able to beat flood waters. Idiots.

Grand Canyon and Horseshoe Bend

I found my new favorite place in the entire world. Horseshoe Bend is a horseshoe shaped rock formation made by the Colorado River and takes your breath away when you're looking over the edge.

Oh and the Grand Canyon was cool too.

Merry Christmas!

We managed to find a place called Santa Claus, AZ. It was yet another ghost town. This was the best we could do with the ruins they called Santa Claus. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hoover Dam and Chloride, AZ

I'm finally caught up! Today, dad and I went on another 300 mile trip to see something interesting. We took a trip to the Hoover Dam in Nevada and on the way, made a pit stop at a ghost town called Chloride, AZ. The dam tour was pretty dam amazing.
