Energy Conservation and Yoga

In the therapy world, we play a large part in educating patients on energy conservation. While I'm a huge fan of prioritizing, planning, and positioning, pacing is something I have yet to master. And while the 4 P's are familiar to me, in the capacity under which I must now operate, they have a whole new meaning. I find these principles helpful in every life, especially when lacking the energy due to any reason, illness or not, and figured it would be a good area to highlight. Cancer-related fatigue is real, I'm finding out.

One area I've been prioritizing is yoga. It has so many benefits and can either be challenging if you're up for it, or relaxing to help you fill your cup. Dad's even been doing it with me too!!

Yoga with Adriene on YouTube is worth exploring if you're interested in exploring the practice of yoga. This is a favorite of mine:

TL;DR

Energy conservation is important. It consists of 4P's: prioritizing, planning, positioning, and pacing.

Cancer-related fatigue is real.

Yoga is helpful. 😊

  1. Hi Steph, I sent you a gift and got a notification that it was delivered today. It’s a calendar with shark photos. I sent it because the shark is your spirit animal, and it will give you another visual reminder as you go through each day, week, and month in the year to come. As Aunt Janet put it, know that you are loved and supported, and I plan to be in your orbit as you choose. Sending love and big hugs, aunt Beaner
