“Choosing to have joy is not naively thinking everything will be easy. It is courageously believing that there is still hope, even when things get hard.” – Morgan Harper Nichols
Yesterday, I went on a relaxing 11.4 mile canoe trip down the Rivanna River with the OASC. We went through some class 1 rapids and although the river was quite high from all the rain, it was pretty calm in most areas.
Here are some past photos that I've taken of various outdoor areas of Virginia. Someday I'll get back to my prompt postings. Here are a few from when my Mom and Grandma came to visit! They're from various overlooks along the Skyline Drive route.
I went to visit my friend April in Richmond, VA and we went to Belle Isle along the James River and saw this Great Blue Heron. Click to zoom in to see him better.
This morning, I took advantage of the one dry sunny day in quite a while to go on a hike up through the Shenandoah National Park. It was a gorgeous day and the sun made great shadows for picture taking. Tomorrow I'm going canoeing on the Rivanna River and will hopefully have some nice pics for you all.
