Kenai Fjords Gray Whale Watch Tour

I went with my two friends, Lydia and Drew, to check out the Gray Whale Watch in Resurrection Bay out of Seward, Alaska. We had a typical "break up" (what Alaskans call spring) day, with fog, rain and lots of marine mammal sightings!
Our vessel, the Tanaina
Seward Harbor

Our first Bald Eagles of the day
They were perched up on the cliff

Harbor Seals

Happy to be out and about again
Orcas!!! There were 3 different pods swimming around us
They would surface as a group and then disappear for 5-7 minutes to "rest" underwater

Like father, like son
Sea Otters are awesome little creatures

This one was very interested in us

Sea Lions - they were noisy

The elusive Humpback Whale

Another Sea Otter just chilling

He waved as we drove away

Sea Otter dive
Time to head back to Seward
The Dall's Porpoises were playing near our boat using the drag to their advantage
But they're so fast, it was hard to get a good shot
