“Choosing to have joy is not naively thinking everything will be easy. It is courageously believing that there is still hope, even when things get hard.” – Morgan Harper Nichols

Update: Cross Country Skiing doesn't rule.
I took a friends daughter out ice skating on one of the outdoor lagoons here in town. They zamboni the lake to keep it nice. It was a great day!
These are my new skis, or were anyway. On Tuesday, I was coming down a small hill on a groomed trail when my left ski got out of the track. As I planted to snowplow to slow down, my ski dug in, my knee twisted and I heard a "pop". Prelim diagnosis from the MD appointment is torn meniscus and ACL. I'm awaiting my MRI results to confirm and then I'll likely need surgery. Currently hobbling on crutches and in a brace set from 10-40 degrees for more stability. If anyone wants an impromptu Alaskan winter vacation, come on up, I could use the help!
