What a great day!! We finally got to see our first sled dog race which is part of the Fur Rendezvous they hold every year. For the full list of events, go to www.furrondy.net.
Some of the typical stereotypes with dog sleds are that the dogs are all huskies. Apparently that is not the case. Also, we were surprised at the size of the dogs. I guess we assumed they should have been larger. Overall, it was a neat experience, including the walk through the snow with my brace and crutch to get to the track!
My iPhone recorded the following video in slow motion which looks really cool! However, after downloading it to the computer, they kicked back to full speed. Enjoy anyway!
