George Washington National Forest Hike

Today I went on a 10 mile round-trip hike in the George Washington National Forest. I went with the Outdoor Adventure Social Club here in VA. J.B. was our fearless leader for the day. Our highest elevation was at Big Schloss. The translation of Schloss in German is castle and is a large limestone rock that protrudes well above the treeline.

Decisions, decisions

Neat little cabin in the middle of the woods

Check back next weekend for summary and pictures of my trip to the Via Ferrata in West Virginia!

  1. Have you found any music out there? John is need of a back operation and is in great pain; they are looking into Mexico for it, but there are risks. Right now they are trying to figure out how to get the money for the operation-$15,000! Take care of you! Thanks for sharing your adventures; we love that you are out there!

  2. Hey guys! No music out here yet. I know they play bluegrass places but no dancing! I miss it so much! I heard. Kristin sent me the benefit flyer. I'm planning on sending a little something their way to help out.
