While traveling through Oregon, we were fortunate to see thousands of windsurfers on the Columbia River and of course a random Oregonian at Government Camp that blew his radiator who mom had pose with his prize truck.

I had yet to see Mount St. Helens and on the first of many backroads that we ventured across we saw the best of all views of the volcano.

Yet another trip to Mount Rainier

I took my mom to Mount Rainier and it turned out to be the best trip yet. With no clouds in the sky, I was able to see the best of Mount Rainier before I left including a breathtaking view from Reflection Lake.

Biking in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Hey all,
Last Sunday, I took the express ferry from Port Angeles, WA to Victoria, BC to bike on the Galloping Goose Trail. I woke up at zero dark thirty and headed up with my bike on my new hitch rack (thanks dad!). I got to Canada about 9:30 am and had to do the whole customs thing, which only took a second, and I was off. After getting lost a few times while trying to find the trail and with a little help from some cute old Canadian guys, I was off! I ended up biking 52 miles total and made it back by 4:00 pm or so because I had to catch the ferry at 5:30 pm. I didn't take many pictures as it was the rainiest and wettest day I have ever experienced. I was a muddy disaster but it sparked lots of conversations on the ferry home. It is definitely a trip worth taking!

Snoqualmie Falls

Alexis and I stopped at Snoqualmie Falls on the way back from The Gorge. As you all can tell, I love waterfalls.

The past two weekends I spent at The Gorge seeing John Mayer/Keith Urban and Dave Matthews Band. I was able to check another thing off my bucket list: swimming in the Columbia River. These are pics from the John Mayer/Keith Urban.

Orcas Island

Many weekends ago I traveled to Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands with my roommate, Dan. I think I found my retirement destination. We went on many hikes and I was able to kayak for over 4 hours before I had to head home.
