Byron Glacier and Seward Yurt

Kate and her parents were adventurous and agreed to stay in a yurt in Seward before our big whale day. We had amazing weather.

Kenai Fjords National Park Tour with Kate and her parents

In July, Blonde Kate (a friend from Slippery Rock) made the trip with her parents to come visit! The killer whales and humback whales put on quite a show for them. It was a spectacular experience.

Twin Lakes Hike in Hope, AK

Jakub is a beast and biked the 85 mile mountain bike Soggy Bottom race from Hope to Cooper Landing. We went to camp, cheer him on and camp.
But first, there was an accident on the only road in and out of Anchorage that closed the road for 11 hours, so we camped out on the one chair we had.

First Humpy Ever!

I caught my first humpy (pink salmon) with rod and reel! It was a female. Then I caught a male with the tell tale hump but he flopped off the hook before I got a pic! I'll learn.

Car camping at its finest
